Additional Design and Features for True

As a new social network, we needed some base feautures that users expect such as the ability to Add Friends, View Notifications, and much more. The designs below showcase these additional features, some which launched and some which did not, but were on the roadmap for delivery.

The following products and designers are a mix of my own Individual Contribution, Direction, and Leadership. If you're new here, be sure to first check out the main True Case Study, which provides and overview and details the Onboarding project.

Adding Friends

Our feature for adding friends was unique and displayed a ton of user delight. Customers could choose to upload thier Contacts for matching, connect to Facebook to find friends also using True, or add friends from True's recommendations.

Places

The Places product allowed business to have a distinct and shareable profile on True and allowed users to check-in and share places, along with images, reactions, and reviews.

Explore

Explore allowed users to find new Threads to join which could be threads about Brands, Products, Movies, Creators, or even Celebrities. With a quick Topic selection, and using information from your Friends, True could suggest new Threads to join.

Activity

Notificationns and Activity allows customers to quickly see New Friends, New Threads, Replies, Mentions, and more. We decided to highlight New Friend notifications as they help grow the network and our product reach.

True Secret Code

True Secret Code was our version of using a QR Code to share with your friends for quick adding. We wanted this feature to be fun and marketable so we used a custom name and custom looking qr code. Once generated, customers has quickly share this with native share controls or by posting to other networks where they already have a friend network.

As we began to design and develop a more robust set of products and features, we decided to update the Homepage for greater clarity and growth. The following are 2 separate options that focus on the main value of True. These options were early designs and not fully ready for production.
